Grosvenor Casino - Edgeware Road London

We collaborated closely with Julian Taylor of JTDA to create this immersive space perfect for the client. As somewhere that takes immense pride in its client relationships, working with Grosvenor Casinos proved to be an exceptionally rewarding experience from start to finish. Every piece of furniture specified for this project was chosen with clear intent, with careful consideration given to the client’s vision at every stage of the journey. Nothing was incidental. Each decision was deliberate, ensuring that the final environment not only met expectations, but quietly exceeded them.

A central focus of the project was comfort. Understanding the nature of the space and how it would be used, we ensured that every item of furniture met the highest durability specifications while also catering to the demands of extended stays. This was not simply about functionality, but about creating an environment where guests feel genuinely at ease - where time can pass without interruption or discomfort.

The ambition was to create a setting that feels both comfortable and considered - a space people actively want to stay in. In a world increasingly defined by fast-paced, transient environments, Grosvenor Casino offers something altogether different: a warm, inviting atmosphere designed for relaxation. It is a place that encourages guests to settle, to unwind, and to remain.

The result is a space that leaves a lasting impression - one that confidently distinguishes itself from others in the sector. There is a clear identity throughout, with every area contributing to a cohesive and elevated experience. Among the many standout elements, the outdoor space is particularly striking.

This area successfully brings the outside in, incorporating natural influences through Ought2’s beautifully curated floral installations. These elements soften the space and introduce a sense of calm, creating a seamless connection between environment and interior design. It’s a rare achievement - an open space that still manages to feel intimate.

Warm tones run consistently throughout, from the rich upholstery fabrics to the carefully considered overhead lighting. Together, these details create an inviting atmosphere that flows effortlessly between interior and exterior spaces. The result is a calm, cohesive environment, full of character and subtle detail - one that feels as considered as it is comfortable.

A few words from Amanda:

What an incredible project to be involved with.

From the moment I received the design brief from the exceptionally talented Julian Taylor, Design Director at JTDA, it was clear this was going to be something truly special. The ambition, creativity, and level of detail within the brief immediately set the tone for what would become a standout project.

Working closely with Julian and Ben Horobin, Design Manager at Rank Group, alongside the wider project management team, ensured a collaborative and highly considered approach throughout. There was a shared commitment to excellence at every stage, which ultimately translated into the finished space.

HRH Contract Furniture are immensely proud to have played a role in this £15 million transformation of The Grosvenor Victoria Casino. It is a project that reflects not only the scale of investment, but the level of care and detail applied throughout.

Working in partnership with our trusted suppliers, HRH developed a bespoke chair for the Gaming Terraces - a design created exclusively for Grosvenor Casinos. The result is a piece that combines exceptional comfort with a distinctive visual identity, perfectly aligned with the overall scheme.

The fabric selections were equally considered, bringing together an eclectic yet highly refined mix. Designs from House of Hackney and Becca Who were thoughtfully paired with rich, plain velvets to create depth and balance. A bespoke fabric from Malliom & Knowles was used to define the outer back of the lounge chairs, carefully chosen to complement the surrounding wall coverings and enhance the overall visual cohesion.

Bespoke, digitally printed tabletops were curated using artwork provided by Julian, bringing an additional layer of individuality to the space. These were paired with custom-made table bases, resulting in a final product that feels both highly tailored and seamlessly integrated.
